We love developing aspiring senior and middle leaders over the course of an academic year. Deep level transformation takes patient loving work over time. We typically run prorammes just for women, just for those from BME backgrounds and for women from BME backgrounds pitched at those aspiring to middle leadership or those on their way to assistant head or deputy head posts.. Our one year programmes generally include

-a one-to-one career progression interview

-a dynamic residential ( often involving forum theatre)

-one-to-one coaching

-a 360 degree leadership assessment for each participant

– two one day workshops

-five leadership twilights and

-a closing celebration and evaluation event

All of our sessions are evaluated by participants and we typically achieve a 90% or more highly satisfied rate. If we keep doing the same things, we’ll keep getting the same results. Positive action programmes like ours, designed to specifically address under-representation really work.

Some women and men from Black and other global majority backgrounds think that if they just get to do the same mainstream training, that will be enough. Meanwhile typically White men on leadership programmes dominate the conversation, demand attention and are so confident, that others are so intimidated that they say little. Specific issues which disproportionately affect women aren’t addressed and tasks which women typically excel at aren’t on offer. Women only leadership programmes and programmes for those from Black and other Global majority backgrounds are safe spaces for those important conversations. “What if white colleagues don’t want to be lead by a Black woman?” “What if I don’t have the right experience?”. “What if I need to grow my confidence?” We help you overcome the barriers no matter what! The networking alone is exceptionally powerful.
